Welcome to the Website of Renaissance Animal Rescue Society

Renaissance Rescue, a community-based registered Canadian charity, raises public awareness of animal welfare related issues, provides education in the humane treatment of animals, and assists qualifying families with food, pet supplies and funding to provide veterinary care for their pets. We keep animals in foster homes and are raising funds to build a shelter

We are run entirely by volunteers and have no paid staff. We rely on donations and fundraisers for financial support and put all of our money back into helping animals and people here on the coast. New and existing volunteers - we are having a meeting on Thursday, June 18th, 2009 and would like everyone to attend. We are going to discuss what we need help with and fundraising, so come with any ideas you may have. For more information contact Lisa Costa at 604-886-6799 or ljcosta@telus.net.

Volunteer Opportunities include fostering animals waiting for adoption, general animal care, fundraising, coordinators, help at events, message taker/call returns, making items to sell at events, home visits to potential adopters, and more. If you are willing to help, we can find something that fits you and your schedule.
